FIBERGLASS AND LATH WATERPROOF DECK COATING This is an extremely tough, metal lath reinforced fiberglass deck coating system that is designed to be used over new and previously coated plywood and concrete walking deck surfaces. The deck coating provides a durable, waterproof deck surface that is resistant to UV degradation and freeze-thaw cycling, while providing a Class-A and one hour fire resistive assembly. Best of all, our system has been formulated to be the fastest installing system of its type on the market. Fast installation keeps labor costs down, clients happy, and construction schedules on track. The system used has ICC Approval which means it is accepted by all building departments. FIBERGLASS WATERPROOF DECK COATING: This system is designed to be used over virtually any walking surface. The deck coating can be installed over new areas, such as concrete as well as previously coated plywood. It can also be applied over other deck coatings such as Magnesite, Diato, Elastomeric, Epoxy Stone, tiled decks, etc. The system composition is a high quality water-based acrylic which allows it to dry fast and be walked on in-between coats. Our decking systems are built using Fiberglass and High quality Acrylic Resins to provide a waterproof walking deck surface that will withstand the tests of time. METAL LATH WATERPROOF DECK COATING: The Waterproof Deck Coating System is intended for use on New Construction projects where an extremely economical deck system is required. J.T. Harris Inc. installs this system using a 1.75 LB Galvanized Metal Lath, Acrylic Modified Mortar and Acrylic Deck Seal as the Protective Top Coat. Using special Adhesive Seam Tape on the plywood seams underneath the lath gives a secondary layer of protection from cracking at seams caused by expansion and contraction from the thermal cycles encountered in all climates. Due to its complete Acrylic Design, the system will not bubble due to high Moisture Vapor Emissions. This is a Breathable Deck Coating System which avoids dry rot damage to the plywood substrate from trapped moisture. Due to the Acrylic Mortar Design, the system offers an extremely strong durable finish that will last for years under most conditions. Best of all the products used are available in 100 and below VOC formulations, making it compliant in even the strictest AQMD Districts. URETHANE WATERPROOF DECK COATINGS: J.T. Harris Inc. utilizes Tufflex and Pacific Polymer’s flexible coating Systems offering scratch and bond coats for pools & spas, pedestrian & vehicular systems, roof coating systems, buried membrane systems and wall coating systems. Flexible coatings are dependably waterproof, resistant to cycles of freeze-thaw, extremes of thermal shock, substrate expansion and contraction, ozone and the ultra-violet and infra-red rays of sunlight. The Urethane Deck Coatings are tough enough to withstand motor vehicle decks and ramps, veterinary floors, ski-lodge sundecks, and where spiked golf shoes are worn. Repairs are easily and permanently made due to the coating’s ability to adhere tenaciously to itself through a molecular interlock. Depending on the desired slip-resistance you are looking for, the surface texture can be varied as well as the colors and surface finishes. You can use the Urethane Deck Coating any place where hard-usage surface is wanted, but leakage is not. |

Utilizing Tufflex’s breakthrough Water Catalyzed Polyurea-Urethane resin binder (with entirely new capabilities and versatilities that were never available with the “old technology”) offers a unique balance of tensile strength, elongation and hardness. This balance of physical properties contributes to its resistance to abrasion and tearing, resulting in outstanding flexibility, wear and impact resistance. Our vehicular waterproof membranes are rapid curing solvent-free systems enabling fast, high build coats. It is a durable, abrasion-resistant coating that waterproofs and protects occupied spaces below, while isolating the substrate from the destructive forces of gasoline, oil, salts, solvents, cleaning compounds and other chemicals associated with parking deck structures. J.T. Harris Inc. utilizes an Anti-Fracture Waterproof Membrane in order to provide waterproofing and crack resistance for thin-set ceramic, stamped overlayments, terrazzo, quarry and stone tile. This membrane can be installed over any sound subsurface, being that it is a thin load bearing anti-fracture waterproof membrane. It is composed of an asphalt modified latex elastomer and reinforced with polyester fabric. The membrane provides a trowel applied monolithic surface. Its thin section provides excellent elongation, strength and positive waterproofing while inhibiting the transferral of cracks from the substrate to the finished surface. We install the membrane in a semi-fluid state and can be applied to practically any form or irregular shape (i.e. parapets, walls, base flashings, etc.) Advantages:
